Reception Taster Sessions
We are delighted that you have chosen our school for your child. Starting school is such a special time, a time for new experiences, new friends, and a step towards more independence for your child.
We understand that this may be a bit daunting for all of you. However, your child is about to begin a very exciting journey and we are looking forward to getting to know all of our new families and welcome the children into our school family.
We will be holding taster sessions in school when your child will be able to explore their classroom, meet their teachers and make new friends. The details of these are:

During the week commencing the 1st June 2026, we will be working with the feeder Nursery settings to gather information about the children to ensure a smooth transition into school.

Starting in September 2026
The children will be having a ‘soft’ start to their school life, and will be on a reduced timetable for the first three days of school in September.

Permissions Information
We need to obtain permissions from you for your child.
Once you have read the permissions information you can then give permissions for your child through our communication app Arbor.
Information needed from parents
To ensure a smooth transition into Belton Lane School we need to gather some information from you regarding your child e.g. emergency contacts, medical information, allergies etc.
