The Belton Lane Mixed Football Team enjoyed a very successful day at the Meres Leisure Centre for the Gingerbread Cup tournament hosted by Grantham Town Football Club.

They participated in some thrilling matches during the league phase, winning 4 games, drawing 1 game and only losing 2 games out of 7. This form placed them in the semi-final of the competition against league leaders Long Bennington. After a challenging match which finished 0-0 in normal time, it had to be settled on penalties where Belton Lane came out on top 3-2. This qualified the team for the final, which takes place on 28^th March, on the first team pitch at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium, prior to Grantham Town FC’s own home fixture! We are thrilled to be able to invite our children, parents/carers and friends of the school to come and show your support for our amazing team on the day!

Mr Kightley and Miss Dobbin are very proud of the team’s achievements and look forward to seeing you in the final!
