Year 3 had a brilliant time visiting Flag Fen as part of our topic on life from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. We explored the roundhouses and learnt what life was like for people in prehistoric times. We listened to a story by the fire and imagined living in a small village thousands of years ago. We also took part in a deer-hunting activity, which helped us understand how early people found food. Walking along the ancient causeway showed us how people once travelled across the fens. We even handled real artefacts and talked about what they were used for. It was an exciting day full of learning and discovery
