Dear Parents/Carers

The Collection visit Wednesday 29th November 2023

Year 5 are visiting The Collection in Lincoln. The Collection includes a wealth of artefacts from the many historical periods the children have studied and has a wealth of learning opportunities to extend and support our Ancient Greece History unit. During our visit, the children will explore the Greek museum exhibition, handle some real and replica artefacts and participate in a drama performance. Full school uniform must be worn.

Any medication for travel sickness should be administered before school and one tablet, in a named, sealed envelope, should be given to the class teacher on the morning of the trip, for the return journey. If your child suffers from asthma, you must ensure that the inhaler is with them and this is also named. Any other medication should be similarly provided in a sealed, named envelope.

A voluntary contribution of £15 is requested per child. No child will be excluded from the visit due to the inability to pay, however, if sufficient funds are not raised, the trip may not be able to take place. Your child should come to school with a packed lunch and drinks for the day. Non fizzy drinks and no glass bottles are allowed. If your child is entitled to free school meals and you would like the school to provide a packed lunch please indicate this on the slip below.

The trip will take place during school hours and we will leave at 9am and return by the end of the school day. Please complete the slip below and return payment in a named envelope.
