Year 6 Science

As a part of our science topic, adaptation and evolution, the children in year 6 have been looking at how animals adapt to their habitat. We will be linking this learning to our English work on "Moth". We set up a challenge around the school, where the children tried to camouflage a paper moth to the school environment. To make this activity realistic, we have let the other year groups be the "birds" who have spent the week looking for and "eating" the moths. The children whose moths are still "alive" by the end of the week are the ones who have survived and can carry on the species. If they are all found, then their species of moth will be extinct. We have attached some photos of the children and their moths, see if you can spot them in the photos!
